Information for Trick or Treaters
Trick or treat this Halloween in a safe and fun environment at Gilmore Car Museum’s Trunk or Treat! We'll combine cars with good old-fashioned spooky fun. This fun, safe event will run from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Suggested donation, $5 per family.
Why come to Trunk or Treat?
- Spooky music playing campus-wide
- Photo opportunities
- Classic car owners, local police, EMS, and firefighters are handing out candy and showing off their vehicles
- Local food trucks will be there to fuel your ghouls
- The Carriage House Bar will be serving up creepy cocktails
- Additional family fun activities in the Summer House
- Safe environment to trick or treat with your family and friends

How you can help with this event!
We invite you to help delight small ghouls and goblins at Gilmore Car Museum’s Trunk or Treat event:
- BRING YOUR CAR, decorate your trunk and put on your favorite costume to pass out candy in a safe, local environment. If you would like to participate in passing out candy, Gilmore Car Museum will provide candy but are grateful for candy donations.
- DONATE CANDY! If you would like to donate candy, drop it off to the museum gift shop, Monday – Sunday, 9a – 5p. Please be sure all candy is newly purchased, is in an unopened package. All donated candy will be inspected by Gilmore Car Museum Staff.
- SPONSOR the event! Contact Sue Huggett at (269) 953-9011 or shuggett@gilmorecarmuseum.org to discuss the details.
- VOLUNTEER to hand out candy, direct traffic.

- Please have enough candy for 1,000+ children
- You are encouraged to decorate your trunk, but it is not mandatory to participate
- We are encouraging classic cars, but modern cars will be accepted as well

No. Much like going to a professional sporting event, you cannot get a refund because you can no longer make it. Guests are in charge of finding a person to purchase that ticket or giving it to someone else to use.
Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable between persons.

Yes, food and/or beverages is available for purchase.
George & Sally's Blue Moon Diner in open daily.

Bringing outside food and/or beverages is prohibited.
Gilmore Car Museum relies on sales from food and beverage to stay in operation.

Smoking is prohibited inside any buildings. The designated smoking area is outside while at least 25 feet away from buildings.
Smoking marijuana is strictly prohibited on museum grounds.

Yes, we accept Visa, Discover, and Mastercard.

Yes. Pets are allowed outside on museum grounds. Pets are not permitted in any building or gallery. All pets must be on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet.

No. Use of golf carts without prior permission from the Gilmore Car Museum is prohibited.

No. Political and religious advertisements are not allowed on our campus.
