On-Site Camping
General Information

- Camping available April 1 – October 31
- Rustic camping on grass field
- Check-in from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Sunday
- Must check-in by 5:00pm. No after hours check-in
- All campers must register at the Museum Store upon arrival and prior to parking your camper
- Registration numbers must be placed in a visible location on the vehicle
- Public restrooms (no showers) are available at the Shell Station
- 100 campsites include
- Two 50 AMP
- Four 30 AMP
- Eight 20 AMP
- 86 non-electrical
- No sewer or water hookups
Camping Guidelines
Camping on Non-Show Days:
- Check-in is available from 9am to 5pm at the front desk.
- No check-ins before 9am or after 5pm.
Camping During Show Days:
- Check-in is available from 9am to 5pm at the front desk. However, no camp vehicles will be allowed through the gate until 5pm.
Preferred Camping Schedule:
- If the show is Friday-Saturday, campers should arrive Thursday evening and stay until at least 5pm on Friday or Saturday.
- If the show is Saturday-Sunday, campers should arrive Friday evening and stay until at least 5pm on Saturday or Sunday.
Important: We will not allow any campers to enter the gate during the operating hours of a car show. Camp vehicles must remain in the parking lot until after the show concludes, and then may pull into their registered camping spot.
Camping During Red Barns Spectacular August 2, 2025
- Only vintage campers, 1999 and earlier, are permitted in the Red Barns area, and they will park near the power areas.
- Vintage campers must check in at the front desk and must camp from Thursday to Saturday until 5pm.
- No campers will be allowed to enter the gate during operating hours of the car show.
- All other campers will be directed to park behind the Pierce Arrow building, after checking in at the front desk.

- $20/night no electricity
- $30/night 20 amp
- $35/night 30 amp
- $50/night 50 amp
Guests are required to buy admission, based on nights stayed. Show day pricing may apply.

Camping Rules
The Gilmore Car Museum is happy to be able to offer rustic camping on our grounds. Obtaining a permit from the State of Michigan, for a permanent campground and the preservation of this beautiful site, requires us to implement rules that help us comply with requirements that will be beneficial to everyone.
- No discharge of grey water or black water will be tolerated. Anyone caught discharging any wastewater will be required to leave the museum grounds immediately.
- Tarps or other ground covers are not allowed.
- Ground fires are not allowed.
- Pets are welcome. Pets must be on a leash and campers must clean up waste generated by their animals.
- Campers with generators are asked to either divert their generator exhaust or protect the grass from damage.
- Quiet time starts at 10:30 pm. At quiet time, please shut down any unnecessary lighting and other noise activity for the remainder of the evening.
Cancellation Policy
In order to receive a full refund, cancellations must be received by email (info@gilmorecarmuseum.org), 14 days prior to your arrival date. No refunds for cancellations not emailed or received 14 days prior to arrival date.
