Summer “Carload Concerts” and Music Schedule Announced for Gilmore Car Museum
(Hickory Corners, Mich. / May 3, 2021) – The Gilmore Car Museum today announced its summer season schedule of outdoor concerts on the beautiful lawns of the museum campus, to complement its busy season of car shows and special events. Highlights of the performance schedule include:
- FIVE new Carload Concerts, where guests can pile into their car with friends, and join the fun for one low “Carload Ticket” price – to see tribute performances to Tom Petty, Bob Seger, 1980s arena rock, 1950s/60s Girl Groups, and The Surfrajettes 1960s-inspired Surf Rock show
- Led Zeppelin 2 classic rock concert during the MCACN Muscle Car Meet Up show on Saturday, June 25th
- Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra outdoor performance of Gershwin and Dvorak’s New World on Saturday, July 16th
$40 CARLOAD CONCERTS @ GILMORE CAR MUSEUM:
Carload Concert tickets are now available for purchase at www.GilmoreCarMuseum.org, to attend each of five Carload Concerts at Gilmore Car Museum this season. Both Carload General Admission concert tickets ($35 Online Advance Purchase / $40 Day of Show), and a limited number of Carload VIP concert tickets ($55 Online Advance Purchase / $60 Day of Show), are offered.
Once the Carload ticket has been redeemed onsite, and the car has been safely parked, concert guests will “Walk-In” to attend Gilmore Summer Outdoor Concerts – no cars will be allowed to park inside the museum showfields. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets or folding chairs, for use in lawn seating.
CARLOAD CONCERT TICKET DETAILS:
Carload General Admission Ticket: $35 Online Advance Purchase / $40 Day of Show
- Includes admission to concert for one Carload of guests (excludes buses, vans)
- Gate opens at 6:00pm ET
- Concert begins at 8:00pm ET
- George & Sally’s Blue Moon Diner, as well as The Grill, will serve food and beverages before and during the show
- The Gilmore Bar will be open all evening, offering beer, wine, spirits and soda
Carload VIP Ticket: $55 Online Advance Purchase / $60 Day of Show
- Includes admission to concert for one Carload of guests (excludes buses, vans)
- A limited number of Carload VIP tickets are available
- Reserved VIP seating section in front of the stage
- Private VIP Bar
Important Concert Guest Policies:
- Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets or folding chairs, for lawn seating
- Guests are not allowed to bring in outside food, beverage, or alcohol
- Coolers or cooler bags will not be allowed on the grounds
- No backpacks or bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12” will be permitted, and the contents of all bags, purses, or clutches are subject to inspection upon entry
- The event is rain or shine. If there is inclement weather in our area, the concert will be delayed until the threat has passed. The decision to continue a concert after adverse weather passes will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on consultation with appropriate weather experts. If a storm or tornado situation arises and the concert needs to end, there will be no refunds.

Proceeds benefit community programming the museum provides, including cruise nights, K-12 educational tours and field trips, the Gilmore Garage Works High School Program, among others.
MUSIC PERFORMANCES AT SELECT SHOWS & SPECIAL EVENTS:
Different than standalone Carload concerts, museum members and guests are not required to purchase separate concert tickets to enjoy many of these planned live music performances at the Gilmore Car Museum.
Instead, guests can enjoy the show by simply purchasing tickets to visit the museum and attend the car show or special event on the specific day. Information for each show and museum admission tickets are now available online.
