Winter Workshop Series: Wheels, Welding, and Custom Car Building with Adam Genei from Mobsteel & Detroit Steel Wheel Co.
Gilmore Winter Workshop class with special guest instructors Adam Genei (Owner/Builder), Steve “Steve-O” Ryan (Welder/Fabricator), and Emma Sauve (Creative Director) from Mobsteel and Detroit Steel Wheel Co. (Detroit, MI). This class will focus on wheels, welding, custom car building, and what it takes to build a business, brand, and career in the automotive space – from the ground up.
The Gilmore Winter Workshop series provides one-day tech education classes for beginners, hobbyists, enthusiasts on a variety of topics across auto repair, restoration, and hot rodding, including content on tools, techniques, materials, pro tips, tricks and demonstrations.
Each Winter Workshop class runs Saturday morning from 9:00am – 2:00pm in the Gilmore Garage Works building.
- 9:00am - Class begins
- 12:00pm - Lunch will be brought in from the museum café (wraps, chips, sodas)
- 2:00pm - Class ends
- 2:00pm - 5:00pm - Museum and galleries available to tour
Capacity is limited – maximum 25 students per class. We have spots for 15 Adult students, and 10 Teen students. Adult tickets must be purchased and Teen students registered in advance -- no walk-ups permitted.

INCLUDES WORKSHOP CLASS, LUNCH, AND MUSEUM ACCESS
- Adults (Non-Member): $50
- Museum Members: $34
- Teens (ages 15-18): FREE for the first TEN (10) registered teen students, thanks to a generous grant from the RPM Foundation.
Tickets to a Winter Workshop class gets you into all areas of the museum as well as the class itself.

No. Much like going to a professional sporting event, you cannot get a refund because you can no longer make it. Guests are in charge of finding a person to purchase that ticket or giving it to someone else to use.
Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable between persons.

Smoking is prohibited inside any buildings. The designated smoking area is outside while at least 25 feet away from buildings.
Smoking marijuana is strictly prohibited on museum grounds.

Yes. Pets are allowed outside on museum grounds. Pets are not permitted in any building or gallery. All pets must be on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet.
