Midwest Miniatures Museum

You’ll find one of the country’s finest collections of scale architectural miniatures at the Miniatures Museum adjacent to the Gilmore Car Museum.

The Miniatures Museum takes you to a place like no other. This is a place where three-dozen historic, miniature rooms seem to be awaiting their occupants’ return. All are painstakingly created by artisans in 1:12 scale. The tables and chairs are made of the finest wood and covered with the finest fabrics. The place settings are real crystal, silver, and hand-painted china. Some of the rooms even have light fixtures that brighten the displays.

In addition to the miniature homes, the Museum features numerous shops and workplaces. They include a toy store, and a dry goods good stocked with bolts of cloth; there’s even a machine shop with metal filings on the floor.

The attention to detail is breathtaking. You truly have to see this amazing Museum to appreciate it.
