Midwest Miniatures Museum

The Miniatures Museum, located on the Gilmore campus, features one of the most impressive collections of scale architectural miniatures in the country.

Here you'll enjoy over three dozen historical miniature rooms that look as though they are awaiting the return of their occupants at the end of the day. Actual crystal, real silver and hand-painted china—all painstakingly created by artisans in 1:12 scale—make each room come alive. The tables and chairs are made of the finest wood and covered with the finest fabrics. Some of the rooms even have miniature light fixtures that brighten the displays.

In addition to the homes there are numerous shops and work places to marvel at. They might include a toy store or a dry goods good stocked with row upon row of bolts of cloth or even a machine shop with metal filings on the floor.

The attention to detail by the model makes is breathtaking and definitely must be seen to be appreciated.
